Our organization has been building on this passion for over 59 years while continuing our commitment to level the playing field for those with disabilities. We empower individuals to live the best life possible by removing barriers that inhibit independence and autonomy. Ability Connection Texas works with members of state and local governments as well as federal representatives and their staff on issues pertaining to the disabilities community and the policies and programs that help people with disabilities to live with equality, dignity and independence.

Advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities

Ability Connection Texas advocates on behalf of people with disabilities in these areas: health care, early intervention, child care, education, employment, housing, recreation, assistive technology, transportation, and nonprofit organization operations, as well as in areas that pertain to people with intellectual and physical limitations.
